Soft contact lenses are made from a) polyHema,Hema V/P mixed and the latest material used is silicone hydrogel.

b) the curvature of your cornea
c) your preference of wearing modality

There are 3 types of disinfecting systems namely thermal, cold chemical and peroxide disinfecting regime. Your choice of disinfecting regime depends on your cornea sensitivity when using them.

Yes, certain contact lenses material do contain ultraviolet blocking properties. However, UV blocker/inhibitor in contact lenses do not substitute UV blocking sunglasses.
